  Dear Volunteer is an advocacy and education platform. We advocate for communities affected by the voluntourism industry, and educate the general public on the negative impacts voluntourism may have.

Our movement was started by volunteers who witnessed the exploitation of communities from voluntourism projects and how short-term projects can contribute towards the poverty cycle and reinforce harmful stereotypes.

We value sustainability and are campaigning for better international volunteering practices and offer alternatives to voluntourism.
